2018 in Review: Results for the Past Year

2018 has passed and we are thrilled to look back, gather and share the most important enhancements that have been made and reached.

Let’s review the year that’s already behind and point out the most remarkable achievements for us below:

  • We’ve released 4 new versions of Store Manager for WooCommerce with important enhancements users have been waiting for.
  • Copy/paste and cloning of products has been added.
  • Amazon Integration has been implemented with the possibility to export and sync WooCommerce products with the marketplace and manage orders within the plugin.
  • QuickBooks Integration addon has been included: WooCommerce products, orders and customers can be exported to QuickBooks and products can be imported from the accounting system.
  • PDF Catalog Creator addon has been added as well. With it, users can create WooCommerce product catalog, generating printable brochures, flyers or lookbooks.
  • eBay Integration has been implemented with the possibility to export products to eBay marketplace, as well as synchronize product details. Also, import of orders from eBay is available.
  • Store Manager is compatible with WooCommerce versions up to 3.5.1.

Add WooCommerce Products Right From Your Mobile Device

Every WooCommerce website owner wants to be able to keep an eye on the store and have an opportunity to update his website even when there is no possibility to use browser or laptop for checking how e-commerce business is going.

With Mobile Assistant for Woocommerce, you have a great chance to view your e-store statistics, check main details of your products, orders and customers, also, recently added opportunity to edit item details directly from your Android device.

In addition, now, you have a great possibility to add products from your smartphone as well.

Product adding option is available in Mobile Assistant application starting from version 2.1.6.To access this feature, you should have Mobile Assistant Connector v.1.4.4. If you are using the version older than this - update the module in WooCommerce Admin panel. What is the process of adding new product to your website via Mobile Assistant for WooCommerce?

  1. Start the Mobile Assistant and proceed to main menu and select “Product” option in main application menu bar.

  3. Click "Add" icon in the bottom right corner of your mobile screen.

  5. Start filling the product fields with all necessary information.

    Product name - write the title to your product that will appear at your store.

    Product type - specify what type your future product will have (simple, grouped, external/affiliate or variable).

    If your simple product is virtual or downloadable, tick the corresponding checkbox. For downloadable product, attach the downloadable files (specify the name, add file, setup the download limit and download expiry).

    Appoint status of your item at one of the creation steps (Draft, Pending review, Published).

    In the General tab, specify the regular price. If your product has sale price, setup the starting date and the date it will be valid to.

    Inventory tab allows you to insert product SKU.

    Enable stock management if you use one.

    Establish stock status for the item and define if it is allowed to be bought only one in a single order.

    Moving to the Images tab, add the images to the product gallery that will complement your almost ready-to-sell item. You can add the already existing picture in library or take a new one.

    Replenish your article with descriptions in the corresponding section.

    Fill the products with additional information in the last Advanced menu section.

  7. After you finish with filling all the needed product details, click "Apply" button on the top to save changes in WooCommerce Mobile Assistant.

Please, take into account, that Product Adding is a paid option in Mobile Assistant application. There are two plans available: the first one allows you to add products from your Android device for one year and the other one foresees adding products on a regular basis.

To unlock the adding product feature, proceed to "App Settings" in the main menu and choose the "In-app Products" section.

How to Add WooCommerce Grouped Products

WooCommerce grouped products represent separate product class and help store owners in creating diverse product catalog. Class name speaks of itself, since falling back on it, you combine several simple products and create complex listing. These are independent elements that do not share some specific feature and offered together as a set.

When customers access grouped product at the frontend, they see all the grouped product constituents, can choose some and even specify quantity for this or that item sold in a group.

WooCommerce grouped product configuring consists of two steps: adding main grouped product (container) and associated simple products (constituents).

I. Create Main Grouped Product

  1. Navigate to Store->Products section in Store Manager and decide on category to add WooCommerce grouped product.
  2. Click ‘Add New’ button on the product toolbar to start product configuring. Right after you click this option, product records appears in the grid.
  3. Move down to the lower grid with numerous tabs, choose ‘Product Data’, and set product type, grouped for this item.

  5. Designate all the details to make product informative, namely title, description, images and save the record.

II. Assign Constituents to WooCommerce Grouped Product

To create the complex product, you should consolidate all the simple items under just created group product. If you have added them previously, you can step to grouping. Whenever associated products do not exist at WooCommerce, create them.

If necessary simple products already exist at WooCommerce, you can step to grouping. In case they have not been added yet, create them first.

To assign simple items to main grouped product the following steps should be preserved:

  1. Select simple product to be assigned to grouped as its constituent and enable its editing.
  2. Access ‘Product Data’ tab in the lower grid and switch to ‘Linked Products’ within it.
  3. Expand ‘Grouping’ dropdown and select WooCommerce grouped product currently managed simple item will be linked to now.

  5. Press ‘Apply’ button below to save the relations.

WooCommerce grouped product allows customers to adjust the purchase and add several items to order from one product page. If you want to add grouped products massively through import using Store Manager for WooCommerce.
